rty received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management before receiving her paralegal certificate from SMU. She went on to secure both a certificate in mediation and dispute resolution as well as a Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution from SMU.
Marty holds multiple Mediators and Arbitrators of America certificates, including more than 90 hours of training in advanced mediation and arbitration and nearly 40 hours of specialized training in the areas of child protective services, domestic violence, and cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Marty is skilled and exceedingly well-trained in mediating all types of cases; however, she specializes in family law mediation, including cases involving children with disabilities. Through personal experience and advanced training, she has a unique understanding and compassionate sensitivity to the legal and emotional issues involved in navigating complex and high-conflict disputes in family law, while maintaining neutrality and objectivity.
Marty has masterfully combined her personal experience of over two decades and advanced training to become a uniquely qualified advocate for productive problem-solving. Having personally been a participant in family courts and mediations she understands how intimidating it can feel to be a party in the process, which can be an obstacle to finding effective resolutions. Her unique ability to put people at ease sets the stage to facilitate dialogue in a safe and respectful environment, critical to helping parties find common ground.
Marty is a servant leader and an active community member. She is a member of the Texas Association of Mediators, Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, and Texas Mediator Credentialing Roundtable. She currently serves on the Executive Board and as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the North Texas Disabilities Chamber.
